Amazing Work-20 Years of Impeccable Catering Springfield

Chris Chasteen started with DBD in 2003 as a young high school senior. It’s undetermined if catering was his desired career path, but the tips sure were good. Moving on to MSU in Springfield, MO he earned a degree in finance and economics.

Chris began full time at DBD in 2008 as our accounting representative. In the foodservice world this means so much more than paying bills and receiving payments, While doing those responsibilities, Chris also worked and managed events, prepared food, and I am certain cleaned quite a few toilets.

Dining by Design has grown far beyond the local Springfield, MO area, therefore expanding the the scope of work for Chris and our team.

Chris became General Manager for DBD Gourmet, Inc, in 2014. Overseeing all 5 locations was a chore and challenging at times, but he has always done this with grace and dedication.

DBD Gourmet, Inc is more than just catering. While we do an enormous amount of catering in Springfield, MO and throughout the Ozarks, we also own corporate cafes, The Pie Box, and produce retail products under the label That’s Just Nuts

Moving into the position of COO in 2022 Chris continues to move forward with DBD pushing toward the future. With new product lines and services always being added we cannot imagine the journey with him.

Your hands on leadership and the investment you make into each of our team members doesn’t go unnoticed or unappreciated. You are a key part of all we do for our amazing team as well as our loyal customers.

Here’s to 20 years!
